General[edit | edit source]

The Blaze Sentry is basically a Blaze Phantom designed for bases. It functions almost the same as the ship version in combat, but instead of a continuous barrage, it fires a fan of missiles that look like the Arc Missile every second.

It has an extremely large engagement range, allowing it to pursue enemies basically anywhere inside the combat arena.

Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]

Advantages[edit | edit source]

The Blaze Sentry is better than the ship version in almost every way. With the ability to spawn two at a time and a damage output matching that of the Rife Missile Turret, the Blaze Sentry is a very powerful addition to your base.

Due to its quick respawn timer, enemies are doomed to be swarmed by masses of Blaze Sentries even if they take out one Sentry per hit.

Base spawners prevent the enemy from dealing damage to your base without return fire since they can engage enemies from the start of battle no matter where the enemy ships are.

Disadvantages[edit | edit source]

Compared to the Chase Sentry, Blaze Sentries are not good meat shields as they tend to fly around the target. As a result, enemies can still damage your base while being swarmed.

Like other spawned ships, Blaze Sentries are vulnerable to Switch Prime Shift's mind control.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Blaze Sentries resemble a mini Heretic Cruiser in appearance but have a battleship firing arc (90 + 90 deg).
  • The Blaze Sentry is the first spawner item for bases.
