The Boosted Pulse Ray is a modified Pulse Ray with increased shield damage, similar to the function of the Aurora Ray.

Its bolts are much brighter than those of the regular version, signifying its "boosted" status.

Strategy and Setup[ | ]

Advantages[ | ]

Boosted Pulse Rays come with an innate shield damage bonus of 25%, allowing this weapon to fell enemy shields much faster. They can also achieve a maximum of 30 DPS, much higher than 20 DPS for the regular Pulse Ray.

Disadvantages[ | ]

Boosted Pulse Rays are significantly less mass-efficient than the regular version, to the point where any benefit provided by the additional shield damage is nullified.

Trivia[ | ]

  • The Boosted Pulse Ray appears identical to Pulse Ray III-V.
  • The Boosted Pulse Ray is arguably the most pointless ship weapon, the other candidate being the Brimstone Torpedo.
