Ablative Armor is another form of protection, and were first introduced with the Umbra faction.
They act similarly to shields, however they are capable of regenerating their defenses if the ships that have Ablation are able to deal damage. Like shields, upon complete depletion, the Ablation ceases to function until the next combat.
