The Fusion Torpedo Turret is the base counterpart of the Fusion Torpedo with similar attributes.
It fires volleys of slow-moving torpedoes with an orange engine trail in various directions with a massive explosion radius.
Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]
Advantages[edit | edit source]
Fusion Torpedo Turrets have massive spread and AoE, enabling them to inflict heavy damage against blitz fleets that are grouped together. In the case of sniper fleets, they can also hit destroyers if the decoys are too close to them.
Disadvantages[edit | edit source]
Fusion Torpedo Turrets have a large minimum range, rendering them helpless once blitz fleets get too close.
Fusion Torpedo Turrets have poor mass efficiency, reducing the amount of armor and shields you can put on your Combat Modules to maintain their DPS.
Their large spread makes them almost useless against single targets because only a fraction of the torpedos actually hit the target. Their slow projectile speed enables most ships to dodge them at maximum range.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The Fusion Torpedo Turret was once called the Heavy Plasma Torpedo.
- Its appearance gets shorter and shorter the higher the level which could mean they are fitting so many missiles in there it cannot support such height, despite this they all fire at the same altitude.
- The number of shots per volley differs by level: 3, 3, 4, 4, 5
- The equipping time of all old blueprint items for bases was reduced by half during the May 2020 update.
