General[ | ]

The Inferno Wing is basically an Inferno Squadron that could be equipped on modules.

Strategy and Setup[ | ]

Advantages[ | ]

The Inferno Wing's Weapon Disruption effect does not diminish with decreasing health, meaning that it only has to so much as scratch enemy ships to give them a significant penalty to their fire rate. Moreover, as it continually applies Fire Disruption, weapons that fire more than once per firing cycle will be severely hampered as long as the squadron is still attacking that ship.

Disadvantages[ | ]

Its scramble range is rather short for a base squadron - attackers with rangers could potentially avoid engaging this squadron altogether until they attack its parent module.

Trivia[ | ]

  • The Inferno Wing is the first base squadron available to players since the Nighthawk Wing (released in Tier 7).
  • The crafting recipes for Inferno Wing RIs were originally bugged. A temporary market was set up so that players may trade fragments for Reusable Item instances, until the bug was fixed in the update of late April 2021.
  • The XP of this item was dramatically increased in the early August 2021 update as part of an effort to rebalance bases.
