General[ | ]

The Nightingale Drone is an extremely powerful Plasma squadron with superior health, speed and range. It can only be equipped on Pharmakon Hulls.

It was first seen being used by the Aliens in their Ancient Outposts and Fortresses as well as Ancient Harvesters, and later on very rarely, by the Oligarchs in their Sovereign Carriers.

It was then finally released for use to the rebels much later with the debut of the Pharmakon.

Strategy and Setup[ | ]

Advantages[ | ]

Nightingale Drones have long range, as well as superior DPS, similar to the Fury Drone. Since it deals Plasma Damage, Umbra Hulls are vulnerable to the full extent of its damage.

They are also highly mass efficient, on par with the Fury Drone.

Disadvantages[ | ]

While Nightingale Drones are on par with the Fury Drone, having the best damage output on paper, A.X.I.S. Hulls, Altairian Hulls and Pharmakon Hulls have innate resistance to Plasma Damage, effectively cutting their damage by half. They are best used against Umbra Hulls which lack Plasma resistance compared to the other damage types.

Trivia[ | ]

  • Nightingale Drones were originally called Plasma Drones.
  • Nightingale Drones have the same exact stats as the Fury Drones, except they deal Plasma damage instead.
  • Nightingale Drones have been seen since August 2017 during the A.X.I.S. season, but were only made available for use much later in 2019.
  • This item's build time was significantly reduced during the late April 2019 update as summarized here.
