The Plexus Carrier is the centerpiece of a Tier 7 Pharmakon fleet, with the ability to limit the function of enemy Ablative Armor with its Enfeeble Field, send friendly ships into Phase State when the carrier is under attack via Network Sync, and snipe enemies from afar with its Laser Array when threatened.

Strategy and Setup[ | ]

Advantages[ | ]

When in combat against Umbra ships, Pharmakon ships are able to, more effectively, take down Umbra ships within the Enfeeble Field, due to the Ablative Suppression debuff, which reduces the rate at which Umbra Ablative Armor restores by dealing damage.

Furthermore, with its Network Sync Overdrive, which triggers from screen damage, both the Plexus and any Pharmakon ship within the Enfeeble Field will enter Phase State, allowing the ships to be repositioned more easily to deal with threats.

Do not forget about the Laser Array, which fires three Plasma beams at 11,000 m when triggered. Their damage output is pretty high and can reach a total of over 3k DPS at Mk V. It is extremely deadly when a primary target is selected as all three beams will converge on it. Moreover, its charge and cooldown times are not affected when the ship is in Phase State, making it a reliable damage source. Note that this overdrive is no longer effective against bases.

It also has 4 Screens when upgraded, meaning it has more defense than the Gargoyle Carrier and Sovereign Carrier.

As a Pharmakon ship, it also deals additional damage to Umbra hulls.

Disadvantages[ | ]

The Plexus Carrier is the only T7 Pharmakon ship to not receive a Phase State and Exit Phase State bonus. Therefire, it is unable to run as easily as the Segfault Dreadnought when dealing with threats.

This hull has only 5 hangar slots even when fully upgraded, compared to the Sovereign and Gargoyle Carrier which receives an additional Hangar slot when upgraded. Therefore it would not be as powerful as a Gargoyle Carrier when in combat.

Trivia[ | ]

The Plexus Carrier is the first Pharmakon Carrier.
It is the first Pharmakon ship without any speed bonuses from Phase State.
All player ships had their Resurgence values modified as a result of the late February 2020 update.
The repair time of all Tier 7 ships apart from dreadnoughts has been standardized to a flat 2 hours (similar to existing Tier 8 ships) in the late September 2020 update.
The Laser Array was nerfed in early August 2021 to no longer deal damage to modules. It was considered to be unbalanced due to its ability to outrange all modules that do not have spawners equipped.
