The Renascence Battlecruiser is an Altairian Battlecruiser, designed from long-lost Altairian technology to counter the Pharmakon threat via its Feedback Loop overdrive.

Strategy and Setup[]

Advantages[]

The Renascence's high forward speed, similar to that of cutters, allows it to swiftly chase down and intercept enemy targets attempting to flee or kite it. This is further boosted by its Feedback Loop, which grants it increased turning and strafe speed when it has accumulated enough DoT Stacks.

The Feedback Loop grants additional resistance and causes the Renascence's attacks to "hack" the Phase Charge of any Pharmakon ships affected, causing them to take longer to enter Phase State, thus making it easier for your fleet to complete drain their Screen Energy and begin dealing damage directly to their health.

The Renascence deals increased damage to battleships. As an Altairian ship, it also deals bonus damage against the Pharmakon faction.

Disadvantages[]

The Renascence is not as durable compared to the Bastion Cruiser, and will not last as long in a prolonged engagement, especially against Umbra ships.

Unlike cutters, the Renascence does not have stasis resistance, and thus, any ship with Void NET Burst Torpedo or NET Torpedo can slow it down easily if the pilot is not careful, making it easy prey for most ships' weapons.

Trivia[]

  • The Renascence Battlecruiser is the first Altairian Battlecruiser hull in existence.
  • The Renascence Battlecruiser's design somewhat resembles an Arbiter from Starcraft.
  • Because of the Renascence's ineffectiveness compared to other Battlecruisers, some players have jokingly called it the "Failnescence".
  • The Renascence Battlecruiser was buffed in the early May 2019 update as mentioned here. In particular, the hull now has 10% resistance against Plasma Damage at Mk I, while its Feedback Loop is more effective and also gives a boost to shields.
  • All player ships had their Resurgence values modified as a result of the late February 2020 update.
  • The repair time of all Tier 7 ships apart from dreadnoughts has been standardized to a flat 2 hours (similar to existing Tier 8 ships) in the late September 2020 update.
