Resource Miners have their own internal storage which is completely separate from that of your Storage Modules and Bridge. After selecting a Resource Miner, you can click on the Bank All button to transfer the resources from all Miners to your Storage. They stop production when 100% full, so make sure to regularly bank the resources!
Damaged Resource Miners do not function until repaired to full health.
When destroyed, some of the corresponding resource is given to the attacker, but this amount is subtracted from the Miner's internal storage only. As a result, the loss is very minimal.
This module is somewhat low on the priority list as their rate of production is extremely low: usually, you can gain the same amount of resources simply by attacking a couple of NPC Targets of the appropriate level.
Other than resource generation, they double as "pylons", connecting separate parts of your base by facilitating power flow.
Resource Miners can also be useful in combat: place them at the edges of the base to delay a 3-star attack, possibly preventing it.
With the introduction of the Inquisitor Destroyer, Resource Miners have become a liability as they can serve as targets for the destroyer to charge up its Ballista Overdrive, damaging modules halfway across the base.
Mineral Ore Miner
- Zynthium used to be a resource that could be mined. There were Zynthium Miners that could be built and upgraded to level 10. They have been deprecated, however.
- All Miner Rebellion modules (except Terminus Mines) received Anti-Pierce in the mid-January 2020 update which is basically infinite Counter Pierce.
- Resource Miners had their build and upgrade times reduced by 30% for all levels in the late April 2020 update.
