The Sling Driver was created by Spectre R&D to help Spectre hulls deal with individual, more armored enemies. With a higher rate of fire, the Sling Driver can punch through any hull, given enough time.

General

The Sling Driver fires a set of piercing projectiles (the number of which being equal to the level of the weapon) in a fixed spread, dealing heavy damage to anything caught in their path.

Strategy and Setup

Advantages

Similar to Needle Driver, but it has higher DPS, weapon speed and Spread, Each attack deals heavy damage.

It also has a shorter recharge time than the Needle Driver, making it almost impossible for enemies to quickly leave the firing arc to evade counterattacks.

Disadvantages

The minimum range of this weapon is so large that it cannot be used at all on fighters.

This weapon extremely long Cooldown/Reload time allows Fighters to reach their minimum range after taking damage from one attack. (if they are not destroyed)

It also has a larger Spread than the Needle Driver, resulting in the possibility of missing some projectiles when attacking distant targets.
