Wormhole Drive is a type of equipment that enables a fleet to support multiple escorts as well as warp ("jump") to a distant location.

Escorting[ | ]

The level and number of escorts allowed are constrained by the Escort Minimum/Maximum Level and Escort Limit stats respectively.

Refer to Escort Mechanics for more details on how multiple escorting works.

Jumping[ | ]

There are two types of jumps: Local Jump and Sector Jump.

When initiating a jump, the fleet becomes stationary (and thus vulnerable) for the duration of the warmup period before warping to its destination. Afterwards, the fleet cannot initiate any jump until the cooldown period ends, even if the Wormhole Drive is capable of both types of jumps.

Note that Wormhole Drives do not allow arbitrary jumping between planetary orbit and sector space.

Local Jump[ | ]

Local Jump is the act of warping to another location in the same sector. The destination is constrained by the minimum and maximum ranges.

Sector Jump[ | ]

Sector Jump is the act of warping to a location in another sector. The maximum range is the number of sectors that the fleet can jump across at most.
